XLS Medical Tea
XLS Medical Tea claims to be the UK’s first tea clinically proven to help you lose weight. On the official website, XLS Medical states that their tea helps you maximize your weight loss by “binding” your fat intake.
XLS Medical Tea also claims to help improve your digestion and reduce your appetite and cravings.
XLS Medical Tea Composition:
- Matcha Powder
Let’s go more in-depth on what’s in the tea and how it works to help you burn fat.
Litramine™ is a branded fiber supplement that is derived from organic plant sources. Studies show that it can help reduce weight by binding to fat to make it insoluble and preventing it from being absorbed into the body.
However, there are also studies that disprove Litramine’s effectiveness for weight loss. The studies were also done with Litramine as a tablet or powder, so people were directly ingesting Litramine. There’s no certainty that Litramine will work as a tea.
Matcha Powder, derived from the same plant that produces Green Tea, contains plenty of caffeine and antioxidants.
It can help increase your metabolism and boost fat-burning in the body. Green tea and Matcha Powder also have appetite suppressing abilities.
Maltodextrin is a highly processed food additive that’s commonly used as a thickener or filler. It also contains 4 calories per gram, similar to table sugar.
Maltodextrin, like sugar, is high on the glycemic index and can cause a spike in your insulin levels and raise your blood sugar quickly.
Spikes in your insulin level can cause your body to store extra sugar as fat in your body. Maltodextrin should be highly avoided if you’re trying to lose weight.
XLS Medical Tea Reviews | Summary
From what we’ve seen in XLS Medical tea, it’s uncertain if this tea will be able to help you lose weight.
There is mixed research and evidence on whether Litramine™ is effective at fat binding. It may be even less effective in tea form.
This XLS Medical tea also contains Maltodextrin, which is a processed sweetener that can cause your body to store excess sugar as fat. This ingredient contradicts the effects of the Litramine ingredient.
Matcha Powder is a good ingredient because it can provide many health benefits and aid in weight loss and appetite suppression. However, you might be better off just drinking straight green tea, than this XLS Medical Tea.
XLS Medical Max Strength
XLS Medical Max Strength is a tablet or satchet fat burner that claims to help you lose weight by reducing calorie intake from carbohydrates, sugar, and fat.
It states that it can also lower your blood glucose and insulin levels, which will help you curb cravings.
The ingredient in XLS Medical Max Strength is:
- Clavitanol™, a plant-based proprietary patented complex
First of all, we have some suspicions with XLS Medical Max Strength.
The only ingredient in this fat burner is a proprietary blend and what’s more is that XLS Medical doesn’t even disclose the ingredients and dosage in Max Strength.
What’s a proprietary blend? It’s a mix of ingredients that get rebranded under a new name and a single dose.
Why are proprietary blends bad? This allows supplement manufacturers to hid each ingredient amount under one name to cut costs and make profits. It also makes it difficult to know how effective the supplement will be.
There is very little independent research to support the effectiveness of Clavitanol™. From the research study that is reported on XLS Medical’s official site, it states that users lost 4x more weight than those who took a placebo.
This may sound amazing, however, this study took place over a 12 week period, which is about 3 months. The Clavitanol group lost about 7 lbs over 3 months. This is not a significant weight loss when the healthy amount of effectively lost weight is about 2 lbs per week.
XLS Max Strength Reviews | Summary
While all the claims on the XLS Medical Max Strength website sound incredible, it’s important to remember that there is very little research to back up these claims.
XLS Medical also doesn’t disclose the ingredients in Clavitanol as well as the amount included in a pill. This could have dangerous side effects since there is little research and information available about this ingredient.
Though XLS Medical claims that you’ll lose 3x the amount of weight, the amount of weight loss is not significant.
We would not recommend this XLS Medical Max Strength as there is too little information available about the ingredient used and it could be potentially dangerous to you.
XLS Medical Shakes | XLS Nutrition
XLS Medical has a line of meal-replacement shakes called XLS Nutrition which comes in three flavours like Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry.
According to the XLS Medical website, XLS Nutrition is a special blend of proteins, essential vitamins, minerals, and macronutrients. It works by replacing an entire meal with fewer calories and still being nutritious.
The directions on how to use XLS Medical Shakes are to mix 4 scoops of the meal replacement powder with 200 ml of semi-skimmed milk and add 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil.
These additions to the shake are to ensure that you get enough calories to give your body enough energy at an overall calorie deficit.
The shakes contain a good composition of vitamins and minerals, as well as a huge amount of protein at 27 grams per serving.
However, upon closer inspection, XLS Nutrition shakes contain about 16 grams of sugar per serving. This more than half of your recommended sugar intake per day which is about 25-30 grams.
XLS Medical recommends replacing 2-3 meals with their XLS Nutrition shakes. With 3 servings of this meal-replacement shake, you’d be consuming about 48 grams of sugar a day, which is way more than recommended.
The excess sugar in this meal replacement shake will not make you feel satisfied and full but will cause you to crave more food and may lead to weight gain.
We would not recommend this XLS Medical Shake as a meal replacement as it contains an astounding amount of sugar that would likely make it difficult for you to lose weight. It’s also important to note that each container only provides 10 servings which would only last you about 3 days.
XLS Medical Appetite Reducer
XLS Medical Appetite Reducer is an appetite suppressing supplement to help you feel full by filling your stomach. This should cause you to eat fewer calories and losing weight as a result.
The main ingredient in XLS Medical Appetite Reducer is Redusure™.
Redusure™ is a branded proprietary blend of dietary fibers, according to the XLS Medical website.
XLS Medical does not disclose what ingredients are in the Redusure blend and how much of it is in the Appetite Reducer. There is also very little evidence and research supporting Redusure, other than the clinical study cited on the official website.
We can confirm the effectiveness of a natural appetite suppressant such as the one included in our top fat burner review.
However, the fact that Redusure is a proprietary blend is a huge red flag.
What is a proprietary blend? It’s a mix of ingredients that are branded under one name and one big dosage.
Why are proprietary blends bad? Supplement companies use proprietary blends to cut costs and make profits by hiding ingredient amounts under a brand name. That way, you don’t know if the supplement will be effective or useless.
It can also be potentially dangerous to you if you don’t know what ingredients are in the proprietary blend.
We would not recommend XLS Medical Appetite Reducer because it contains a proprietary blend with very little research or evidence to support its effectiveness.
XLS Medical Fat Binder
XLS Medical Fat Binder comes in the form of tablets or satchets to help you reduce your appetite and lose weight by binding dietary fats.
The ingredients in XLS Medical Fat Binder include:
- Litramine, a patented fibre complex of organic plant source (prickly pear)
Litramine is a branded proprietary blend that is the only main ingredient in Fat Binder.
There is little independent research to back the claims that Litramine can bind fats to help you lose weight.
The research study that is cited on the XLS Medical website stated that patients who used Litramine lost about 8 lbs over the course of the 3-month study compared to the 3 lbs lost by the placebo patients.
This is not a significant amount of weight loss, especially since 1-2 lbs per week is a healthy amount to lose.
It also makes us suspicious that XLS Medical does not disclose the ingredients in Litramine and the amount of Litramine in the Fat Binder.
If a company is confident about its products’ effectiveness, then it shouldn’t have to hide ingredients in proprietary blends and removing dosages on labels.
We would not recommend XLS Medical Fat Binder to help you lose weight as there is little research and information supporting the ingredient Litramine.
XLS Medical Boots
You can buy XLS Medical products in-store or online from major retailers like Boots, Holland and Barrett, Amazon, Superdrug, Lloyds Pharmacy, Tesco, and ASDA.
XLS Medical App
There is also a phone app available from XLS Medical that works as an online support programme.
XLS Medical Side Effects
XLS Medical uses several proprietary blends in their products, most of which have very little information regarding what ingredients are included.
XLS Medical doesn’t state that their products can cause any side effects. However, there may be some potential side effects as reported by users such as:
- Stomach upset
The ingredients in these proprietary blends like Litramine, Clavitonal, and Redusure have little research to support their effectiveness and safety.
We recommend that you consult your general practitioner before taking any of these products.
Does XLS Medical Work?
XLS Medical has a variety of diet products and supplements that claim to help suppress appetite, bind fat, and lose weight.
Here’s what you need to know about XLS Medical:
- Their products use proprietary blends with little scientific backing and support.
- They don’t disclose a full ingredient list of their proprietary blends or dosage amounts.
- Their products could produce potential unwanted side effects due to little information known about the ingredients.
- XLS Nutrition shakes contain a high amount of sugar.
- XLS Medical Tea contains an artificial sweetener that may not help weight loss.
Would we recommend XLS Medical? No, we wouldn’t.
With all the different proprietary blends in XLS Medical products, you shouldn’t have to risk your long-term health for weight loss. If XLS Medical is confident about their products, they wouldn’t need to hide their ingredients and put your health at risk.
It’s difficult to slim down and shred fat, but you don’t need a huge line of products to help you do what one good fat burner can do.
