Longevity Lab Apple Cider Vinegar Ingredients

Here’s the full list of ingredients in Longevity Lab Apple Cider Vinegar capsules:

  1. Vitamin B6 (62 mg)
  2. Iodine (800 mcg)
  3. Potassium (50 mg)
  4. Apple Cider Vinegar (700 mg)
  5. Spirulina (200 mg)
  6. Soybean Lecithin (200 mg)
  7. Kelp (200 mg)
  8. Apple Pectin (50 mg)
  9. Bromelain (50 mg)

The Longevity Lab states that their apple cider vinegar ultra potent formula is superior to other ACV supplements because of the additional super-nutrients and its better bioavailability.

But do these ingredients actually do what Longevity Lab claims?

In the next section, we’ll be taking a closer look at what each ingredient in Apple Cider Vinegar Ultra Potent capsules do and if they are effective for supporting fat burn and weight loss.

Apple Cider Vinegar (700 mg)

Apple Cider Vinegar comes from the fermentation of sugars in apples that turn them into alcohol and then acetic acid.

ACV has often been marketed to having various health benefits such as weight loss and appetite suppression.

However, the research behind this is not strong enough to confidently support these claims.

One study revealed that people who drank ACV after meals only lost 3 more pounds than people who didn’t. This is a very insignificant difference over a 12-week testing period.

All of the participants were also on a calorie-restricted diet and exercised regularly, so it’s unclear if the ACV aided in the weight loss at all.

Studies that involved ACV and improved appetite suppression were done mainly on mice, which doesn’t mean it’ll work effectively on humans.

There is some research that has shown that the acetic acid in ACV has been able to moderately lower blood glucose levels.

Overall, there is little research supporting the effectiveness of ACV for burning fat and suppressing appetite to help you lose weight.

Though Apple Cider Vinegar is advertised as a miracle supplement for weight loss, we wouldn’t rely on ACV to help you slim down and get in shape.

Apple Cider Vinegar Ultra Potent Formula

Spirulina (200 mg)

Spirulina is a blue-green microalgae, which has been investigated to have antioxidant properties.

Human studies have suggested that spirulina may have antioxidant properties, but more research is needed to support it.

Most studies done on Spirulina have only been tested on animals and its application to humans is weak.

Spirulina is not a great ingredient for antioxidants and inflammation reduction like Longevity Labs claims.

Soybean Lecithin (200 mg)

Lecithin is a substance that is naturally found in body tissue. Lecithin supplements can be derived from a variety of sources such as soybeans, sunflower seeds, or eggs.

Studies have shown that lecithin is able to lower cholesterol while raising good HDL cholesterol.

Longevity Labs claims that Lecithin will prevent the accumulation of fat in body tissue for slimming. However, there is no research to back this statement.

Lecithin is a good ingredient for maintaining cholesterol levels but will not help you trim fat like Longevity Labs states.

Kelp (200 mg)

Kelp or also known as brown algae is a nutritious common staple in East Asian diets.

The main compound found in Kelp is called alginate is commonly used by food manufacturers as a thickening agent in weight loss products, beverages, and ice cream.

There is one study that showed alginate reduced the activity of pancreatic lipase, which led to fewer fats being absorbed after a meal.

Though this research seems promising, it requires more research to support that Kelp helps with weight loss.

Kelp is a good ingredient with nutritional benefits but there is still very little evidence to back the claims that Kelp is a fat blocker and will help you lose weight.

Apple Pectin (50 mg)

Apple pectin is a type of fiber found in the cell walls of the apple that gives it its structure. It is also a rich source of fiber.

Longevity Labs claims that Apple Pectin will help you feel fuller longer so that you can eat less.

However, there are mixed results from a few research studies on pectin and weight loss.

One short study revealed that participants felt fuller and had a reduced appetite after taking pectin. Another study showed no difference in appetite or fullness after taking pectin daily for 3 weeks straight.

In conclusion, the health benefits of Apple Pectin are mixed. It doesn’t seem likely that Apple Pectin will help you suppress your appetite and lower your blood sugar.

Bromelain (50 mg)

Bromelain is an enzyme extracted for pineapples and known to help reduce heartburn.

Longevity Labs states that Bromelain can reduce inflammation, but specifically it reduces nasal inflammation. There is not a lot of support to show that Bromelain is anti-inflammatory in other ways.

There is also little evidence to support that Bromelain can aid digestion too.

This is not a good ingredient for Longevity Labs ACV Ultra Potent Formula because it won’t help you reduce bloating or improve your digestion.

The Longevity Labs Reviews

Iodine (800 mcg)

Iodine is an essential mineral commonly found in iodized table salt, fish, and seaweed.

It works mainly to promote thyroid health, hormones, and fetal development.

The Iodine in this Longevity Labs ACV product comes from the Kelp ingredient mentioned above.

There is 800 mcg of Iodine in this fat burner and the daily recommendation for adults is 150 mcg.

While it is an essential nutrient to reduce Iodine deficiency, most people get enough iodine in their diet. There is a potential risk for side effects from too much iodine in this product.

Potassium (50 mg)

Potassium is an essential mineral commonly found in fruits, vegetables, and legumes.

The main benefit of potassium is helping the body protect itself against circulatory disorders like cardiac arrest and stroke.

Potassium is a good ingredient to help maintain normal body function but there is no research to suggest that it will directly affect the efficiency of fat storage.

Vitamin B6 (62 mg)

Also known as Pyridoxine, Vitamin B6 is responsible for several functions in the body.

It mainly helps the body use and store energy from protein and carbohydrates in food. Vitamin B6 also supports the formation of red blood cells.

Vitamin B6 is an important vitamin to supplement to help your body maintain normal and healthy function.

The Longevity Lab Review – Apple Cider Vinegar Summary

Apple Cider Vinegar Ultra Potent Formula by Longevity Labs is a weight loss supplement that claims to boost metabolism, suppress appetite, reduce bloating, and aid fat burning.

However, there is not enough research to confirm that Apple Cider Vinegar is effective for losing weight at all.

The other ingredients found in this product also have little to no evidence supporting fat burn or appetite suppressing abilities.

There’s also a large dose of Iodine in this product which could cause potential side effects.

Would we recommend Longevity Labs Apple Cider Vinegar capsules? No, we wouldn’t.

Apple Cider Vinegar is not an effective and reliable fat-burning ingredient. This product probably won’t work as well as it claims.

We’d recommend a weight loss supplement that contains more than one effective fat-burning ingredient and is well-supported by research.
